History

With eight World Series championships and 23 National League championships, the San Francisco Giants have a long and storied history as one of the most successful teams in Major League Baseball (MLB).

The Giants won their first World Series title in 1905, followed by back-to-back championships in 1921 and 1922 against the New York Yankees, a formidable team of the decade. The Giants continued their World Series success beating the Washington Senators in 1933 and the Cleveland Indians in 1954.

Remaining a force to be reckoned with, the Giants brought the city of San Francisco three World Series Championship titles in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
